More About Me

Born in *withheld for personal reasons* on *withheld for personal reasons* as an only child, Zam has always been interested in the internet and all things technological. Watching his dad play old computer games like Quake and Doom interested him and growing up playing the playstation just enforced that joy of technology more. Zam has always had natural talent in music and rhythm. He played drums with his father throughout his childhood until he received his own drum kit. Recently he has been learning acoustic guitar after listening and getting inspired by an artist named Jonathan Coulton.

Zam could be and is classified as a nerd by many means. He is also not ashamed of this title. As already stated, he enjoys all things technological. He plays games often, runs a podcast and a blog (which you are reading this on), is learning html and javascript. In the Summer of 2010 he (in the company of his aunt and cousin) ventured to Seattle to enjoy and partake in the nerd conference that is PAX. Waiting in lines to play new games was well worth the time and experience. He plays Dungeons and Dragons (along with other PnP RPGs) on occasion with some friends.

May 15th 2009 was the worst day of Zam's life as the closest thing to a sister, his cousin, died in a car accident. Learning to deal with that pain has changed him in many ways. Experiencing that has changed his view on life as well as many other things. To this day he still wares a live strong bracelet with the caption "IN MOURNING" in honor of his cousin.

His family is one of the biggest and most important aspects of Zam's life. Living with such diverse personalities has directly effected who he is. He understands more about the world from these people. Zam would not be who he is without them. Most important in his life is his mother. She has taught him more than anyone else and the bond and connection between the two is visibly clear. Zam loves her more than he could express. If you call Zam a "Mommy's boy" he would say "Damn straight" then possibly hit you in the face.

Zam hopes to become a Film Director in the future. He has made a couple small films and is currently going to school in hopes of learning what he needs to become a great movie maker. He believes that story and acting is more important than explosions and sex in film. He likes movies that make you think differently or give you a sense of awe.
